The New Kew Association Clubhouse

New Clubhouse Design Sketch

The new Clubhouse will be 30 metres long by 17.5 metres wide which means it will cover the area at present, housing the shower, bar container, foundations of burnt out changing rooms and the car park area between those buildings. It will have six team dressing rooms, each approx 8 metres by 4 metres with its own toilets, showers and room for 14 players.

The dressings rooms are planned in pairs in order to permit use by males or female for matches kicking off at the same time. There will also be two smaller dressing rooms complete with toilets and showers for male and female officials.
The other half of the building will consist of bar and kitchens, a lounge area similar to the one we had in the old building plus a committee room which may be opened to extend the lounge area.

The cost of the development is set at £603,000 but in addition we have to put in place car parking and landscaping of the ground at a cost of £79,810 and a further £81,900 for professional fees which gives a total cost of £764,710

Football Foundation Charity have agreed to grant us £591,142 towards the costs subject to a number of conditions, Richmond Parish Lands Charity a further £9,842 and Hampton Fuel Allottments a further £5,000.  We are hoping to obtain Environmental Grant of £4,000 and have made an application to another Grant body for £41,000.  If we are successful that will give us £651,000.

We have been promised or have already received sponsorship of £31,000 and have already raised ourselves a further £38,000.  We anticipate receiving CASC accreditation shortly which means we can reclaim tax on gifts and sponsorship and we believe that will be worth £10,000 to us and we have fund raising activities in the pipeline which we believe will add another £5,000 bringing the total available to £735,000.

This leaves us with a shortfall of £29,700 provided we keep within our targets and Greene King have offered us a £20,000 loan repayable over barrellage and we have another £10,000 of loans on offer.

We believe we will be able to meet the costs when completed but it would be better if we could raise the money to cover those loans so it is down to us all to support every fund raising opportunity as it could make our future match fees easier.

On behalf of the Board of Kew and Ham Sports Association Limited, thank you all for your support to date and please continue to help us reach OUR DREAM.
