Pitches at the Clubhouse

Ham Playing Fields .

We have spent nearly £25,000 on the two pitches nearest the road but at the moment the weather is not being kind to us.
The two pitches have been levelled, 200 tons of top soil have been put on them and they have been re-seeded.
Although the pitches are now very level this very dry weather and scorching heat is doing nothing to aid the growing of the new grass.

We have been watering the pitches daily but we are still a long way from the state we would like the pitches to be.
If you come down training please avoid going on those pitches and certainly DO NOT ATTEMPT TO KICK FOOTBALLS ON THE AREA.

At the moment we cannot see us being able to use the pitches until well into September but we are at the mercy of the weather and if it suddenly began to rain steadily and the warmth remained who knows.
If anybody goes near the ground they will see by the colours of the grass the difference the watering has done but it is still not sufficient.

Please help us so that the money we have spent is not wasted.
